Q1. My child has recently been diagnosed with autism or a similar disorder, what is the best treatment option?
A1. Studies show that the most effective treatment for children with autism is a quality Applied Behavior Analysis program that is implemented between 20-30 hours per week.

Q2. What are your fees?

A2. Our fees vary depending on the service provided.  Please see the current Child Intake Packet (under the "Services" tab) for a list of our current fees.

Q3. Do you accept insurance?
A3. Tricare is the only insurance company that has approved ABA as a treatment option although Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Aetna both allow for reimbursement for services. Families can also receive funding through the ASO grant. In addition we accept personal checks, Visa, and Master Card.

Q4. My child does not have a diagnosis but is delayed in the areas of language. Is this something that you can help us with?
A4. Absolutely, our verbal behavior programs are effective for children with special needs as well as children who have delays in the skills we teach.

Q5. Do you provide services at your center, our home, or our child's school?
A5. Most verbal behavior programs are implemented in the center. For behavior reduction programs, the initial visit is at the center and the subsequent visits are in the environment in which the behavior occurs.

A6.We work with individuals of all ages that have special needs or display inappropriate behavior.

A7.  No, we also work with "typical" children who display problem behavior.

Q8.  Do you suggest implementing other types of treatments simultaneously with a verbal behavior program such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, or RDI?

A8.  We support our families who are interested in receiving multiple services unless the other treatments interfere or are inconsistent with our approach.

Q9.  What qualifications do your therapists have in order to implement verbal behavior programs?

A9.  All of our therapists have gone through an intensive "in-house" training provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.  We also schedule our therapists to attend a verbal behavior workshop within 6 months of service and conduct monthly performance reviews.
